Hot and dry western Europe, showers in the east

Thursday
More hot sunshine across Iberia, afternoon heavy showers in northeast Spain. Extensive hot sunshine across the central Mediterranean islands. Heavy showers form in central and southern Italy, hot sunshine to the north. Well-scattered showers in the Balkan States, otherwise hot and sunny. Showery across Greece, frequent and heavy/thundery in the western mainland afternoon. Some rain sweeps into northwest Türkiye, coastal southern showers in the afternoon, otherwise dry, hot, and mostly sunny.
More hot sunshine in France, this extending into the Low Countries, England, and south/west Germany. Hot in the Swiss and Austrian lowlands, some showers in Austria. A few showers in northern Germany and Czechia fade for dry sunshine. Scattered showers in Slovakia and Hungary too but more often sunny. Heavy showers in central and east Poland with wind, sunnier west. Outbreaks of rain continue across Belarus and Ukraine. Bulgaria and Romania remain showery too, but mostly trending to eastern areas.
Denmark is dry and sunny, these conditions extending into southern and central parts of Norway and Sweden. Cloudier to the northwest of these countries, some rain affecting northwest Norway. Scattered showers in northern Finland will fade for frequent sunshine, but rain will increasingly affect southern Finland, locally heavy/thundery. Heavy rain continues to be widespread in the Baltic States, though locally easing later for sunny spells.

Thunderstorms in the north of Spain today. Fair in central and southern areas as well as across Portugal. More sunshine in the Balearics and very warm here. A few showers in the far north of Italy. Greece and Turkey will be fair too with more sunshine to come here.
Heavy, thundery showers in the south of France. Central and northern France will be dry and sunny. The Low Countries and Germany will be dry with lots of sunshine. Poland will be mostly dry but a risk of a few showers in the east. Hungary will be dry and sunny. A few showers in Austria, these turning heavy and thundery oin Switzerland.
Denmark will be dry with lots of sunshine. A few showers in the Baltic States, generally fair in Finland. Scattered showers in the far south of Sweden, dry and sunny in the north. Scattered showers too in Norway with good spells of sunshine.
